Synopsis
In 19th century Vienna, Ignac Semmelweis, a dedicated but irritable doctor, investigates the cause of puerperal fever, a deadly epidemic affecting patients in the hospital. He conducts deliveries, autopsies, and research to find a solution to this mysterious illness.
