Tala, a Palestinian living in London, is getting ready for her extravagant Middle Eastern wedding when she meets Leyla, a British Indian woman who is dating Tala's best friend. Despite their different backgrounds, Tala and Leyla are instantly drawn to each other romantically. However, Tala is not ready to face the consequences of her feelings and decides to escape to Jordan. Meanwhile, Leyla tries to move on with her life, resulting in a surprise for her conservative parents.
