Synopsis
Rejected by his love, Michael becomes a bitter loner obsessed with collecting gold coins. Living nearby are wealthy brothers: John, responsible, and Tanny, a troublemaker. Tanny steals from Michael and runs away, reinforcing Michael's disdain for humanity. A girl's death and her daughter's arrival soften Michael's heart.
