Synopsis
Orphaned by a Nazi bombing, young Paulette befriends Michel, a peasant boy. As they navigate a chaotic world, they bond over coping with death, even creating a burial site for Paulette's pet dog. However, their friendship is tested by the harsh wartime circumstances.
