Synopsis
In the 1970s, Marjane 'Marji' Statrapi experiences her family's joy as the Shah is overthrown in the Iranian Revolution. As she matures, she sees the new regime become oppressive, revealing the harsh reality of living under Islamic fundamentalist rule in Iran.
