Synopsis
Renowned painter Frenhofer, now living in the French countryside with his wife, resumes work on his unfinished masterpiece, La Belle Noiseuse, with young artist Nicolas and his girlfriend Marianne visiting. Frenhofer chooses Marianne as his new muse for the painting.
