Synopsis
As Italy is unified in the 1860s, an aristocratic Sicilian family led by Prince Don Fabrizio Salina adjusts to the social upheaval. Despite reservations, Don Fabrizio allows his nephew Tancredi to marry Angelica, a wealthy merchant's daughter, to preserve their status and power.
