Synopsis
Lilja, living in poverty, aspires for a brighter future. Left by her mother to her neglectful aunt, she befriends Natasha and suicidal Volodya. Struggling for money, she turns to prostitution and later accepts a promising job offer in Sweden from Andrei, resulting in a tragic outcome.
