Synopsis
In 16th century Japan, two peasants, Genjuro and Tobei, ignore a sage's advice and sell pottery to soldiers, aiming to profit from war. Their greed leads to temptation and danger as Genjuro seeks wealth and Lady Wakasa, while Tobei dreams of becoming a samurai, endangering their families.
