Synopsis
Narrated in 1957, a young French mechanic, Guy, falls in love with Geneviève, a shop worker. Before Guy heads to war, they share a romantic night resulting in Geneviève's pregnancy. She faces a tough decision - wait for Guy or accept a proposal from a wealthy suitor.
