Synopsis
When the San Francisco Giants invest $40 million in center-fielder Bobby Rayburn to win the World Series, die-hard fan Gil Renard is ecstatic. But when Rayburn struggles, Renard, obsessed with helping his idol succeed, goes to extreme lengths, including murder.
