Synopsis
Eugene, a young writer from Brooklyn, is reluctantly enlisted in the US Army at the end of World War II. Sent to Camp Shelby in Mississippi for training, he faces harsh conditions, discrimination, and clashes with an unpredictable drill sergeant despite finding solace in humor and writing.
