Synopsis

During the 1980s, a U.S. congressman, a socialite, and a CIA agent join forces to increase support for Afghan fighters combating Soviet forces. Their collaboration leads to increased funding for the fighters, ultimately playing a role in the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War.
